About the Journal

Elevate Publication is established as a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the study and understanding of Buddhism at both individual and institutional levels. It seeks to foster rigorous inquiry into Buddhism from historical and contemporary perspectives, while also emphasizing its transnational and transcontinental dimensions.

Under its flagship initiative, Elevate: A Buddhist Journal, the organization will host both a peer-reviewed academic journal and a Buddhist news and engagement portal. These two platforms will serve complementary purposes while maintaining a clear distinction in scope and editorial approach—one addressing scholarly research and the other engaging a broader audience.

The peer-reviewed journal will publish original research articles, critical notes, and book reviews in accordance with established Author Guidelines. It will also periodically release special issues, either thematic in nature or dedicated to significant events, developments, or anniversaries within Buddhist studies.

Elevate: A Buddhist Journal is published exclusively online. Despite its digital format, it aspires to uphold the highest standards of a traditional scholarly journal. A central objective is to help address the existing gap in Nepalese Buddhist studies while contributing to the global academic discourse. The journal also aims to build collaborative relationships with Buddhist universities and research institutions worldwide:

1. Historical Studies
2. Transnational Studies and Global Buddhist Studies
3. Development and Transformation of Buddhist Traditions
